Tele-play Therapy – April 15, 2020

Telemental Health in Schools – April 1, 2020

CoP Virtual Chat - Telemental Health 101 in Schools on April 1, 2020 from 3:00 – 4:30 pm focused on telemental health in schools. Our colleagues from the National Center for School Mental Health (NCSMH) at the University of Maryland and Central East MHTTC shared the best practices in telehealth and tips for clinicians, students and caregivers. Following the presentation, participants learned about current DC guidance and had a chance to share practices, strategies, and questions related to delivering telemental health in schools. Families as Partners – February 26, 2020

The D.C. School Behavioral Health Community of Practice virtual meeting on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 from 9:30 to 11:00 am, “Connections and Community - Foundations for Establishing Positive School Environments”, focused on building foundations for positive school environments. Rachel Sadlon (Center for Health and Health Care in Schools), Dr. Kenya Coleman (DCPS) and Lisa Shaw (School Talk), the leaders of the Positive School Climate and Social and Emotional Learning Practice Group, led the discussion about the strategies that promote positive school climate.
